Growing up in Mexico City, Chef Hugo Hernandez learned early on how to make Tacos. He started at the age of only 8 years as Taquero and worked at one of the many taco stands in the Mexican capital during his entire time at school.

 

From his extended family and his work as taquero he learned about the authentic Mexican flavors which to this day are present in the food he prepares.

In his 20 years in the United States he had the chance to learn about other cuisines but he was always drawn back to the food of his childhood and teenage years.

​

It was always Chef Hugo's dream to own his own restaurant and as the city of Chicago started to reopen after the pandemic, he finally had the opportunity to rent a kitchen together with his wife, from where he now sells his tacos and burritos directly or through the major delivery platforms like UberEats and DoorDash.
